Looking for updated CloneCD hardware list

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but I searched and couldn't really find an updated list.

Since CloneCD has been moved to SlySoft, the well-known CD burner hardware list has been discontinued.

Here is the last known version.

http://web.archive.org/web/200302072...writers/a.html

Do NOT buy a CD burner without first checking this list

What's needed:

* Full RAW reading/writing (2352)
* Full reading/writing of all subchannels (+96)
* Buffer underrun protection (BurnProof)
* Full EFM (weak sectors) reading/writing
* All of the above for both data and audio
* Overburn compatibility (note on CloneCD's list, but would also be nice to have, up to 99 minutes)

I'm wondering if any other sites have a similar list that is more up to date? This list was truly a great resource, and it would be a shame to let it go.

AlienTech: In elby site there where a page listing CloneCd supported cd writers: to each drive was assigned one, two o three sheeps: three sheeps meant a full efm compatible writer: will this list be manteined by SlySoft?
SlySoft: No, we will not maintain such lists. They are useless anyway, because of CloneCD's function "emulate weak sectors" *all* drives support weak sectors......

Thanks, I read the SlySoft interview a while ago. That is where I learned that they are discontinuing the CloneCD hardware list.

That is a disappointment, IMO. I'd much rather have a burner that can write the true data to the disc, rather than having to rely on emulation.
