| hp dvd writer dvd 400i cannot detect disk I have a hp dvd writer dvd400i and it will not detect my Verbatim R 4.7GB disks. The only time I used the writer was to burn a few songs on to some Memorex RWs. I had before tried to update the firmware but with no luck. Do I just need to buy a new drive? |

| Re: hp dvd writer dvd 400i cannot detect disk Old drive. I'm not sure if this one even can deal with media that is available these days. You can find some firmware here. If you don't know about it, please ask first here and tell us the current firmware.
