Is There a way to Shrink a back up of HALO2 for xbox onto a 4.7gig DVD?

I have a copy of HALO 2 and it is almost so scracted that it will not run. I wish to make a backup of it so that I will be able to continue to play they game with out having to shell out the money to get it again.

I have used FTP to down load the files off my XBOX DVD ROM and have tried to use Qwix to create an ISO of it. this has worked but the image is too large to fit onto my Blank DVD 4.7 gig. I have used Nero and Alcohol 120. With nero I set the Over Burn for DVD on and that didn't work.

can anyone help me. thank you.

Take the disc to the local dvd rental shop and ask them to put it through their machine which will remove the scratches making it like new again. There will be a small charge but it will be worth it.
You will need to do this if it is in such a bad state before you can do anything with it.

i'd call ahead before doing this. and mom and pop shops are more likely to have a machine believe it or not.

i worked at a blockbuster for a couple years and we did NOT have a resurfacing machine nor did any of the stores in our district (and none of the hollywood videos did either). customers would regularly get irate and insist that we had one, but we were being jerks about using it for customers...

if your video store tells you they don't have a resurfacer, then they don't have one!

it seems like the original poster already has created the ISO though so the quality of the original disc doesn't seem to be the problem...it seems to be how to burn a dvd that's > 5GB to a SL disc. I don't know anything about xbox though.

have you tried a google search for that particular game?
