Is there a way to adjust equalizer settings and save to mp3 file?

I've been using iTunes and I like the equalizer settings but if I save them to an mp3 file they do not play back with the modified settings on my mp3 player, I assume they would on an ipod. Is there any way or any software available that will allow me to do this?

Without doing a list-YES. However, this is generally done with an editing program. If you don't have a backup set of your files on CD/DVD-create one now and then go to work modifying. Some players will store a generic or custom setting that applies to all of the music in your playlist, but not in the song itself.

jc836, thanks for the reply, I've been trying to do this with Winamp but could it be any more complex, I've been using plugin after plugin and I'm still getting nowhere.

Do me a favour and suggest a few off that list of editing programs I should be using, life's too short

Hi: Goldwave, Audacity and Ashampoo Music Center (Audio Studio 3) are a few that come to mind that might work for you. There are also several DJ programs that can do this task-but at a serious price. Hope this gets you started.

Re: Is there a way to adjust equalizer settings and save to mp3 file?

Hi and thanks again jc836,

I've used an old version of Audacity before and to get the equalization effects don't you have to go through each track, modify and save them individually? Are all these programs like that?

Do you know of a particular program like iTunes that can batch convert as many tracks as I like (but work with other mp3 players not just ipods)?

Bazzeer: Not off-hand. Check Download.com for DJ programs. You can also contact www.jffdj.com-he is a good friend of mine and can possibly help you.
