Nero won't open and IMAPI is disabled - Club CDFreaks

I cant open nero and I have the imapi disabled in the service section...i clicked on the nero link and nothing happens but the nero.exe file is runnning in the background. It used to work fine then one day it just died on me when i updated to 5.5.9.9. Is there some software setting that I am missing? Now when I uninstall it and go back to my old nero it doesnt work.

Assuming you're using Windows XP:

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service > change the startup type to either Manual or Automatic

Then reboot your computer.

everytime i try to go onto nero it says something else is already using my imapi when i have nothing else open does anyone have any ideas on why its saying that

My Nero won't open. It says that another burning engine is using it and to quit IMAPI and go back to Nero. How do I quit IMAPI? Boxer
