OK, this has never happened before, and I wonder why it's happening now:
I use TMPGEnc to convert an avi to mpeg, then I try to record it as a VCD with Nero 5.5.10.20. All is fine until I go to burn, then the whole program just shuts down. Tried the same using Nero's mpeg plug-in to encode it, and the same thing happens at the burning point. What gives?? Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what can be done about it, apart from abandoning Nero for another program? I like Nero, but if this is how it's going to behave (or not), what other burning prog is recommended for VCD/SVCD creation, that works with a Yamaha LightSpeed 2200EZ??

I suggest you try Easyvcd. It burns VCD/SVCD, from MPEG or Bin/cue files, it's free and best of all it works great!
Also check out the video forums on this site for lots of useful info!
