Installed Lite ON DVDRW/CDRW installed , now I can't use either drives - Club CDFreaks

Hi,

I installed a lite on dvdrw combo additional to the existign sony cdrw I had. They are on the same IDE channel. THe dvdrw drive has worked to burn a dvd. However I can no longer simply pop in a cdrw and right click a file and select "send to d:" I get an error now about formatting the damn media, which I never got before, and then when I format I get a damn i/o error when trying to drag and drop files. "THe request could not be performed because of an i/o error" I also noticed the when I put in blank media theres a checkmark next to "use with DLA" when I right click on the drive letters.

Please help becuase this is friggin annoying.

Probably you forgot to set up the master/slave settings on the drive correctly.

REMEMBER: On any one IDE channel there can be maximum 1 master and 1 slave. These settings are chosen through the little jumpers on the back of the drive. Also you should set things up such that the device attached to the very end of the cable is the master and the one on the middle of the cable is the slave.
