| installation conflict?? I am using plextools and wondered... If I install ez cd creamator 5-platinum version, will there be a conflict?? I have a free disc of it and thought about installing it for the editing features and to run my internal generic cdrw... My Plextor is an external unit, of which I use Plextools exclusively... I have the basic ez 5 in my programs now that I don't use, would installation of the platinum version override this or would I need to uninstall the basic?? Thanks..... |

| i would uninstall the basic, then reboot and install the platinum. then you should go to the roxio.com site and get the latest updates. there should be no compatibility problems.

| Hey thanks netman, I running XP home in case that matters and also, should I disable the Direct CD deal after I install Platinum?? All I'm going to do is copy cd's on the fly and possibly edit some WAV files with this program and the basic will not allow me to do this. I just didn't know if another burning program might affect Plextools... I appreciate your help in these matters.... |

| If you don't want to use Direct CD, it's best not to install it... or to uninstall it if you already have it. The program represented by the icon in the system tray is only a control program... disabling it still leaves the main program running, without the control program. Take care... Randell |
