"Illegal Request Error"

I'm new here and hope someone can help me out... I have been trying to drag and drop files onto a CD-RW to remove from the hard drive but to no avail. I get an error message that says:

" Error Code 0004-0005-0026-0000. Illegal Request Error occurred. Reboot your system or drive and try again. Insert a new disc."

I'm using InCD software version 2.26 that came bundled with Nero 5.5.2.8 TDK for my TDK VeloCD 16/10/40 drive. Windows 2000 OS.

I tried formatting a brand new blank CD-RW, still the same result... Can anyone tell me what this error message means and what I need to do to correct this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

Thanks oaky_88 for replying,

Should I uninstall the version I have now which is REGISTERED, and do a new install of the current version that's downloadable from nero.com? Or should I install the new right over the old one. I've read about problems with Nero 5.5.7.2 and Windows XP, will this cause problems with Win2000 ?

Please read this thread. InCD is not the best Packet Writing Software out there. Please do note a new InCD version has also been released (v3.21) and may be worth installing. There are indeed some minor problems with Nero v5.5.7.2 under Win2k. Read this frontpage posting for more info.
