The first thing you must do is upgrade Nero. The first release of V7 was so full of problems it should never have been released.

What's the media you're using? We need the brand name & the Media ID (MID). This you can get using Nero's CD-DVD Speed & the disc info tab.

Deleting the ide drivers may help as well. CDBurnerXP is free and works well for the basics if you want to try some other software.
