Diskdump is the way to go for Safedisk 3

I just tried Call of Duty (SafeDisk 3.10) with Diskdump, and it copied it without a problem. The Game installs and runs without a glitch on my Pioneer A06 and Liteon LTD 165H DVD rom Drives without any kind of Emulation Software installed on the Computer, to Include CloneCD, Alcohol, or Blindwrite Autoplay.

If anyone is having problems with Safedisk 3.x then Diskdump kicks butt. Disks were copied with Diskdump and Burned with Fireburner. And the copy only took 45 minutes to read and burn.

Other Titles copied with Diskdump include:

F1 Challange '99 - 02' Safedisk 2.90
Will Rock Safedisk 2.90
C&C Generals Safedisk 2.80
James Bond 007 Nightfire Safedisk 2.80
Splinter Cell version 1.2 Safedisk 2.90
Indiana Jones 6 legend der Kaisergruft Safedisk 2.90
Mafia Safedisk 2.70
I.G.I. 2 Covert strike Safedisk 2.80
From Dusk till Dawn Safedisk 2
Medal of Honor Allied Assault 1.11 Safedisk 2.60
Rainbow 6 Raven Shield Safedisk 2.80
Freedom Fighters Safedisk 2.90

All of these titles work on every pc that I have tried them on, and all work without any kind of emulation.

The best part of it is......Diskdump is FREE

The trouble is not SD3.10 but 3.15!! Try it...
eh eh eh

My SD3.10 games backup are all OK with alcohol or blindwrite without emulation...ddump solves only reading problem but not writing

SD3.15 introduces new weak sector that AOPEN,LG, ASUS and LITEON not copy SD3.15 100% (reading the copy with toshiba drivers do not works!).

Try it !

As soon as I get Prince of Persia, I plan on doing just that. At the moment, I cant say if it works with 3.15 or not.

As for writing, any program that burns ISO files will burn a Dískdump read file. You can pick and choose as you like.

I use Fireburner

hey kid185,
you r from germany? i'm too, so i can say you that call of duty in germany has NOT sd 3.x - it is a *normal* SD 2.9... not a problem at all...
so just try it with prince of persia - this definitly has sd 3.x ...
greetz,
Raz

ok, so maybe you're right...
BUT: I bought my version from a "rent-a-video-store" (videothek in german, don't know the english word) - and they get the games a little bit earlier than the other stores - AND IT IS WITH A SPECIAL Version for this kind of store WITH "RENT-RIGHTS" (Verleihrechten in german)...
maybe it's sd 2.9 because of that?!? but all my sd-scanners tell me it is 2.9... so whom should I trust? MY scanners or a web site that didn't scan MY version of the game?
nevertheless, i think, this discussion should end here because the real important thing is not sd 3.1 which isn't such a big problem, but sd 3.15...
greetz,
Raz

Yes and no. Anything that can handle cue sheets can burn a ddump image but if you want a copy of a safedisc 2.8+ protected cd to work you basically need to use fireburner though nero writing in dao96 mode sometimes works. [Note that you can use alcohol to burn the image with safedisc 1 settings but if you're going to do that you may as well just use alcohol to make the image in the first place.]

Can the infamous Safedisc killer DiscJuggler handle new Safedisc 3.15? Anyone tried?

I think it would be interesting to know.

then I guess not. We're going to need that 3 Sheep burner.

I used the both newer versions of DiscJuggler with my ASUS 5224A, AOpen 32 and LiteOn 52327 at 4x read and write and later at 8x. I used several media (Verbatim, Sony, TDK, Traxdata 48x) and I tested the copies on my Toshiba SD-M1402, capable of read and play SD2.9x copies without any kind of emulation.

Results were fateful. No copy run at all. The discs had lots of errors in the sectors 5xx-8xx. Neither run on my very old CD-ROMs BTC and LG... but copies at 4x run on my LiteOn LTD166.
