Burning Software Discuss, Disc Dump and Nero both lag at the end of burn at International Chat: Software related forum; Something strange has been happening with my burner/software lately. At the end of each burn, the drive revs up and down for about 30 seconds before it finally spits the CD out. This is new because the Lead Out usually only takes a few seconds to complete. This happens

Disc Dump and Nero both lag at the end of burn

Something strange has been happening with my burner/software lately. At the end of each burn, the drive revs up and down for about 30 seconds before it finally spits the CD out. This is new because the Lead Out usually only takes a few seconds to complete.

This happens with both DD/Fire Burner and Nero. The following is a log of my last Fire Burner run. What happened in THREAD 2?? :

Thread1: Executing
Recording device: LITE-ON LTR-48246S
Firmware version: SS02
Recording method: Disc-at-once 16 (Dao16)
Recording Speed: Max
BURN Proof: Enabled

// Burning - data is being permanently written to CD

Thread1: Setting Write Parameters
Thread1: Reading Disc Info
Thread1: Start LBA is -11634
Thread1: Processing Lead-in
Thread2: Executing
Thread1: Processing Track 1 Pause [150 Sectors]
Thread1: Processing Track 1 [Mode1] [320298 Sectors]
Thread1: Converting from Mode1/2352 to Mode1/2368 on the fly
Thread1: Autocorrecting sub-channel
Thread2: Write Error @ Sector 313416
Thread2: Sense Error: UNIT_ATTENTION (POWER ON, RESET OR BUS DEVICE RESET OCURRED) (0x06 0x29 0x00)

Thread2: Synchronizing Cache
Recording complete

NEVER MIND. found the answer

I found the answer at another post .

Basically, I just MyComputer-->right click CDRW-->properties-->Recording-->uncheck Enable CD recording on this drive.

At first I thought it might prevent me from burning all CDs but that was not the case.
