Backing up DVD's Hi, Is there any software to back up dvd's besides Nero and CopyToDVD? I have Windows Vista so Nero won't work, and I don't like CopyToDVD. Got a decrypter and dvd shrink, now need something to complete the backing up process. Please help!

Re: Backing up DVD's Are you just asking for a burning program? If so, you can probably use ImgBurn. The easiest way to use it would be to set DVDShrink to output as an ISO file. ImgBurn can then use this to burn to dvd. There is even a version of DVDShrink that includes ImgBurn as the burning option instead of DVDDecrypter or Nero. It can be found here I also suggest looking through the guides at the ImgBurn site forum. It is a versatile program.

Re: Backing up DVD's Man, I suck! Somebody will have to walk me - very slowly - through this! I put the dvd in the drive and decrypt it, then I shrink it right? Then what do I do?? The IMGBurn thing wants ISO files... what? Do I have to decrypt or shrink them a specific way? Someone please, start from the beginning and tell me how to backup my dvds with dvd decrypter, dvd shrink and imgburn. Please?!?

Re: Backing up DVD's You'll need to download and install both Imgburn and this newer version of Shrink. In Shrink, when you hit Backup, you get the window that I've uploaded. Under Select Backup Target you get a line where you can choose several different targets for your video. You can output to a hard disk folder, to an ISO, or if you are using the version that can target ImgBurn, you get an option to output as an ISO and burn with ImgBurn. I suggest going into ImgBurn first, before using Shrink and setting your burning speed. Otherwise I think it will choose maximum available speed.
