Burning Software Discuss, Assistance Need at International Chat: Software related forum; Why does it take so long to encode movies, It seems like every movie I download takes 2+ hours, then it I try and burn it to dvd, it has to go thought his endcoding process, that takes another 2 hours, so now I have 4+ hours in to this

Yes I am new to this but I feel I doing something wrong, there has to be a better way to do this.

Woud someone help me please?

More details are needed. What are you doing exactly? Are you trying to do a backup of a DVD? Are you trying to convert an avi into a video DVD?

Which softwares are you using?

Download speed would depend on your connection, and the connection speed of the source.

Regarding converting to DVD-compliant files. I use ConvertXtoDVD, which takes between 20-45 minutes for me.

What are the specs of the machine you're doing the conversion to DVD on?
