Burning Software Discuss, any possibility of rescuing old cds? at International Chat: Software related forum; I have 2 retail game cds that have stopped working on most computers one was working one night, but not the next morning so far, the only computer that can read them is my new laptop even when I try to create a copy of the cd, it doesnt work

any possibility of rescuing old cds?

It really depends upon whether the cds are copy protected and the extent of the damage. If they are not copy protected and the damage isn't too severe there is a strong chance that you will be able to make copies that work even though the originals don't so long as yopu go about it the right way.

What are the titles and what copy protection, if any, do they use?
