Alcohol 120 software bugs - Club CDFreaks

I notice with Alcohol120 installed, other programs cannot read the atip, meaning the dye used on the blanks is not read, and the burner cannot optimize the laser when doing burns.

I hope they fix this soon

It's probably just that alcohol's equivalent of hide cd media is running. You can turn it off in the emulation options of alcohol and re-boot. Other programs should then be able to read the atip of a cdr/w in your writer.

I had the same problem - the 120% forum came back with the answer.

Within Options - emulation - uncheck 'Ignore Media Type'
