what should I look for in a web hosting package? - Club CDFreaks

I've been looking around for web hosting packages. They seem to offer around about the same things but some offer more like intergrated shopping cart, This is basically what I want as I'm starting a pc hardware store. I would like to know what other sort of things I should look for in a web hosting deal. Or would I be better off just registering a domain name and starting my own server?
Any comments appreciated.

High bandwidth allowances on both the web and email, flexable email management with a master account that all incoming mail is automatically forwarded to. If you can find one that allows IP and domain blocking on the email side, go with that. Once you establich a business email account, the spam really starts flowing and you're stuck with it cause you don't want to change a business email address. Don't focus too much on the cost of the service, cause it'll still be the lowest recurring cost your business has, and the best return on your advertising dollar.
Don't forget to register all the possible variations on your domain, and have them all parked on your main IP. So you also want to look for a service that'll do that for little or no charge.

most here in oz are offering parking but i dont know how good the bandwidth is 99% of host packages here offer 500mb- 1000mb bandwidth p/m

Here we get several GB of bandwidth per month.
Here's the one I'm using, they're fairly reliable, if not totally competant. Servers are a bit slow.

i thought the bandwidth was a bit low. I'll have a look at the one Huzzy give me a link too and see how it is. If it's no good i might start looking at overseas hosts as they seem to be a lot cheaper even with the exchange rate and have a lot better options.
