| Re: Staples has Sony TY 8X DVD+R -R 50 spindle for 15.94 Bought some on Sunday. The ones I got seem to be good discs on the average for TYs but not great. In the two spindles I got some have very faint circular stripes in them before burning but still burn 97s and 98s with PIFs between 100 and 150 total and none over 5 if I recall. |

Damn, your standards must be even higher than chas0039's!! 97-98-99 ... there's no real world difference. Max PIF @ 5 is fine. I'm not really sure what your expectations are for 'great' TY burn? <100 PIF all the time? 99's all the time? That's not going to happen, unless maybe you spend the money for Plextor TYG02's. |
