This is vague & open to several interpretations.For instance:What is "the Office Max price"? Since it's all the same company is it the Office Max local store price or the Office Max online price?
How would Office Max deduct a mail in rebate from the "Office Max price"?I think they really mean rebate added not deducted.
At least to me even the exact meaning of "before determining the price match" escapes me.

Wow thanks negritude this was a hella deal went to office max and had them price match useing there online site then handed the 10 of off 20 and some how she did something and it rang up for only $3.24 for a 100pk so i got 2 more so all in all i walked out with 300 dvds for 9.75 i needed more coupons im going back to try to score some more for that price

I really hope you got some better ones than I did. The 100 spindles have really hit and miss for me. Some of the one I have, aren't worth 3.75 for 100, I have 75 right now that are going in the trash. But like I said, you may get good one, I hope you do, but at that price its no big deal anyway.

negritude thx for providing the nfo on the Super Secret Verbatim Sale at OfficeMax. I went to one of the office max stores close to me but they had no 20 pks of Verbatim DVD+R DL. I went to another bm store that's not far from home. That one had 4 spindles. So I got them to price match using my printout of the online site and then handed them my 10 of off 20. The clerk could not get the register to do both so the manager came over and they rang it at 17.99 so I got the price match and coupon all accepted. Probably just lucky. I am going to print some more coupons and take my kids with me tomorrow and try to get the other 3 pks for 17.99 each.

2nd time around no go the girl said she shouldnt had did the sale she was reading the coupon and said it was online only use and i was pricematching online and said u couldnt do that but i think its cause she knew she goofed chargeing me $3 a pop on the coupon

i might go back for more on a dif person and pay the $13 for it which is still a pretty good deal on a 100pk

I've dumped many a bad Verb in the trash... especially in the 100 packs.

Some are so bad there is just no reason to save them! I'm not entirely convinced that Office Max and Best Buy don't get B-stock at a discount and mix them in with A-stock. The best quality I had was from SuperMediaStore, but they have since stopped stocking branded in the +R.

I could not agree with you more, its has been so bad that the manager of my local Office Max has told me he will not take returns from me anymore, just dont buy them if they are so bad. I would gladly send them to negritude but like I said they are not worth the postage. And these are MIT PAPA Verbs, not MII or any other kinds. I will buy Taiyo Yuden from now on, the few extra dollars dont make any differnce when you have to throw half the spindle out.

I'm assuming you mean that you're going to order TY's and have them shipped. With Fuji and Sony no longer using them to manufacture their disks, I can't think of a store chain that carries it here in the states. Even with store coupons, those of us who don't live close to one of these chain stores would have to spend about $10 in that high priced commodity, gasoline, to get there.

can the internet price still be used at stores? Is getting "Made in India" verbatim dvd-r okay?

That is how this big national chain stores operate with big sale from time to time. Do you think they actually care for the customers so that they offer sale price for quality products from time to time? No way. They are for making profit. So they receive lots of stockfile of good and bad batches from manufacturers so that they can make it even, so that they actually lose nothing after sale price.
So usually small independent store with less stock is far better in quality and services in almost everything, not just media.
