I don't think this is such a good deal anymore, now a day the normal price for not so great media is around 15-16 bucks per 100. this is good media but I don't feel 2X the price is worth it.

well, for one, the office depot deal last week 50 pack for 8, and this week you can pick up the verbatim @ BB 50 for 11, not the best but still cheaper than this one I think. this deal was from march, media prices usually drop a little bit over 3 months.

maxell at OD this week is 23 for 100 I think, with a little work with coupons I think you can take it down a little bit.

dude, deals come and go, i'm sure all of you here are stocked up that you don't need to go and buy media RIGHT NOW. Even this week, the verbaltim at BB is still cheaper than this, and it's friday already, next week is poping up.

I'm not trying to threadcap, but this deal is like 3 months + ago, prices go down a bit after 3 months.

The Office Depot deal was only good if you could find RICOHJPN R03, and that isn't always easy.

The Verbatim is $22 per 100, which is only a $6 difference, not twice as much.

The Maxell is not in the same league as Optodisc, so it doesn't qualify.

The reason why it's worth paying this much for OPTODISC R16 is because the media burns as well as TY or Verbatim, sometimes better, it burns that way consistently, it hasn't shown any longevity issues, and it's no longer being produced, so it's very rare.

Not in this economy. Media prices have pretty much held steady for the last 2 years. We were paying the same average price of $12.99 for a 50-pack and $24.99 for a 100-pack years ago. Those are real prices, not the stuff you just made up. This deal is only slightly more expensive than that, and when you factor in gas prices and the fact that this has free shipping, it comes out even.

Verbaltim = optodisc, I think, and i'm not talking about that, just to show you can get something similar for cheaper.

OD deal was ok media, 1/2 the price is alot if you just want to burn stuff that you do not want to keep for 10+ years.

Like I said, this is not the best deal or even a hot deal on media for most people on here who stocks up on DVDR, it might be for someone who needs the media right here and now, definitely not for the folks that can spare 1 or 2 weeks.
