Yeah, with a regular sale, a 25-pack of any brand of media will normally cost about $6.99 in a retail store. So that's $28 for four packs right there. Add tax and gas, and you've spent $30 for 100 pieces easily.

Very much agreed... 2004 dated 25 packs with the "Best 16x Burn" gold sticker is the holy grail for 16x Verbatim.

Negritude - Just want to say "Thank you very much!" for finding and posting this deal. Without people like you who take the time to find and post deals, my knowledge/collection of good DVD media would not be what it is today.
Actually, a big Thank You from me to all here who have taken their time over the years to post information on all the facets of media and burning.

The sticker had no meaning, just the usual marketing copy. As long as the (c) date is 2004, you're good.

I bought a 25-disc spindle of MCC004 in the old-style packaging that had 2004 on the label, but the actual discs were made in 2006 (PAPA23K), so the date doesn't mean much. The gold label meant more; every 100 pack I've gotten from Sam's Club with it have been from 2005 (PAPAxxJ).

Just received both my orders-

All the 200 16x +R MCC004's are CMC "PAPA" (2004)

25 of the 16x -R MCC03RG20's are CMC "MAPA" (2005) and the balance of 275 are all Prodisc (2005)

I consider this find/buy an outstanding value that may not be duplicated in the future-eh!!

Just received 200 -Rs in the mail. 50 CMC, 150 Prodisc. All arrived safely with no damage. Very happy at this price...will burn some tonight and see what they look like.

Those are not from the same seller and as minaelromany said the shipping costs pretty much kills the deal on them.
This seller wants $14.00 flat rate per pack to ship them so if you were to buy 600 from this seller it would cost you
$173.94 were as the other original deal would only have cost you $127.27 for the same amount of discs so that is
$46.67 more for the same amount of discs or something like $7.78 per hundred discs more.

I bought 24 x 25 packs last month from Curcit City @7.99 and free shipping. They seem to run them on sale like every other month.
Also Best Buy online had 100 packs for 24.99 with free shipping. I got 8 of those. Some arrived with broken ears on cases, but no problem with the media.

Once again, we know they're not from the same seller. Follow the thread discussion which already pointed out that it's still a good deal. It's not like you can go to any store to get these, but that's OK, you just leave them there and someone who appreciates and understands the value will get them.

Circuit City doesn't carry Verbatim. Best Buy hasn't had 25-packs of Verbatim for a long time, and when they did, they weren't on sale that often.

I was just about to post that Circuit City has not carried Verbatim for years in my area. The last Verbatim I bought at Circuit City were the 4X Movie Reel discs in 2004.
