I doubt you can find MIJ 16X media sony anymore, but anyway, OD is having a clearance on Sony Media 100 spindle for $17.04. Their Brand for $7.99 this week if you can spot Ricohjpn R03 for the +R so good luck shopping folks

Unfortunately, office depot has changed the way they do clearance. It is no longer the same clearance price at all stores. The managers mark them down to whatever they want (they are still full price in the computer). It still wouldn't hurt to check your local store (I would have likes some sonys for that price) but its hit or miss kind of thing. The sonys are 36$ at the local store here (and there are several other items that I would like but prices are much higher than some people have reported getting at other stores). It kind of sucks because they used to have great clearance items, and you could check availability online.

ripit, you can locate the item number and go to officedepot.com and click on view cart and choose instore pickup and then click on the zipcode then click on your zipcode then select the store you want to look at then it will display the store price in your area. So you dont have to drive around

That doesn't seem to work anymore (in the Dallas area anyway). I used to check clearance prices all the time like that at office depot, but with the sony dvd's (100pk +r is what I have been trying to check), it only lets me get as far as the zipcode, and then says item is discontinued. It wont even let me ad it to the cart, even though I have been in store and know they have them. I have seen people on fat wallet talking about it too. Maybe it is only certain areas though. There are several items on clearance at my local store, but they all come up full price or discontinued online. Does it still let you check on the website like that for your area?

The Sonys are $44.99 in the Atlanta area. That's more than 2.5 times the $17.04 price.

It seems to be the same items that are marked down, but prices are different. I asked someone at the one next door to work about different stores having different prices, and he said they are store level markdowns so the manager sets the price. I think the main office is sending them lists of what to mark down but are letting the stores decide what price to set.

Yes, that's correct. Sony 100-packs are on clearance at all OD locations, but the price they are set at varies from store to store. However, if you get lucky and find the 17.04 price at one store, like I did, then you can use the receipt to price match at other local stores. All of my local ODs were willing to match the 17.04 price I got at one store, even though they were selling them at the national $44.99 price.

Might be nice for a budget htpc but you can get them 10$ cheaper online....
they also have x300 video cards, for if you can believe it, 50$$$ (shows 100$ in the system). They are so obsolete, might as well get a 6200 and mod it, or even a 1550 for a few bucks more????

If I interfere with the work of the right person (main offices are here), maybe they will match (if they wont, I'll ask about every media they hae till he does, because I know what the guy that is above store level looks like)??? And its not lieke the deals are flowing anymore....
