Anyone able to confirm for sure that these are made in Singapore? The packaging looks suspiciously like it comes from MBI.

That looks like new packaging & all I can tell you is that the 15 pack spindles I got look nothing like that, mine were MIS. Now the ones I got could possibly be old stock.

Just a little word of warning, but I saw 10 of the Verbatim 8x DL's 15-packs @ BB, and 6 of them were MII.

Why haven't Dual Layer dvd's broken the $1 per disc range (give or take 20 cents)? On a good day, even today.. we can find super deals for single layer in the $.25 range per disc. So, why aren't good DL discs in the $.50 range at a minimum?

I saw the offer before this thread went up, ordered last week, it came today, it is new packaging and MIS. I don't like the new packaging (violet) and much prefer the old one (orange). I have never seen true 8x MII.

At my local MC most 2.4x DL + Verb is MIS in new packaging, though you have to be there to make sure it is MIS and not MII.

guys Wat package r u getting ? Voilet or orange ?

does the orange package Discs slightly thicker than Voilet ones ? can somebody confirm ?

Got mine today, new purple package, both Singapore. Can't beat $1.27 for 8X Verbs, and Verbatim is actually good for the rebates IME, unlike some other companies.

I got violet ones. I believe that means MIS. I burnt half of them already and they worked nicely. I will reorder.
