| Re: Microcenter - Verbatim 16x Printable $17.99 Went to MicroCenter yesterday and bought a few. The DVD+R's were MCC004's. I also picked up 50 Verbs CD-R that were printable for $9.99. Unfortunately these turned out to be Prodisc. ![]() The Verb label says these are 52x, whereas Nero says max is 40x ????

| Re: Microcenter - Verbatim 16x Printable $17.99 The drive determines how fast it's going to burn a disc, not the disc itself. The BenQ firmware obviously limits those Prodisc CD-Rs to 40x. |

| Re: Microcenter - Verbatim 16x Printable $17.99 I've had pretty good luck with printable Prodiscs. But I try not to burn cds faster than 24x, especially when used for audio.

| Re: Microcenter - Verbatim 16x Printable $17.99 I've had no experience with Verb ProDisc CD-R's. Do you think they will last??? I'll try scanning tonight. I was hoping that since they were Verb's they would last. The label on the disks states 100 year life. I'm hopping that the technology on CD-R's is better than DVD's. Since on DVD's I would think only Ty's and Verb MC00X's would be good for longetivity.

| Re: Microcenter - Verbatim 16x Printable $17.99 I would prefer TY, and understand that TY are much better. Gave these Verbs a chance since they were CD-R verbs. printable and only $9.99 for 50. They are silver, but not hub printable.

| Re: Microcenter - Verbatim 16x Printable $17.99 I'm not too happy with my Verbatim 16X printable purchase, I keep getting this nasty PIE 60 spike at 0.7 every freaking time. I've tested different ones from different spools and I still keep getting that damn spike at 0.7. I flashed my 1640 to BSOB and guess what? I still get that spike. ![]() no wonder why they're selling it for so cheap. and I absolutely don't see any physical damage on the media's surface either. I bought 4 spools and so far I've got two bad batches. ![]() I'm almost afraid to test the remaining spools!!!!

| Re: Microcenter - Verbatim 16x Printable $17.99 Have you tried mcc004 that was not printable and it burned fine? Have you tried another burner? That is kind of weird and not what I would suspect from verbatim. I'm just wondering if your burner doesn't like that media code? |
