Did anybody get the 42" plasma at Wal-mart?

I did and I am shocked at how good the quality is. The picture is phenomenal and the over-the-air HD tuner is great. I used the THX Optimizer on the Monsters Inc. dvd to calibrate the video. All I can say is WOW! If you got one let me know how you like it...also, they ARE still available at Wal-Mart for the same price they were on BF so that's why I posted this in the Bargain Basement forum.

$988

Is it the Hitachi 42" Widescreen HD-ready Plasma HDTV, 42HDM12A?

From this link it says $1,198.

Oh, sorry. I forgot to mention the brand. It's the off-brand called Viore. From looking around the net it appears to be made by Akai. If you pay an extra $198 for the Viore you can extend your warranty to a total of 3 years and it would still be $20 cheaper than the Hitachi.
