If the plextor and philips versions will do of the 1640 then it should be no problem aranging one. Except money maybe. Triple the price of one of samsungs latest models !
All are new boxed plextor/philips retail packages.

Yep, I have a retail 1650 (minus original box though) that I was gonna put up, but there's no £ option, it's all in $

Through fixed! Any more feedback is welcome, I guess it also helps if everyone helps promoting it, to get more products on there

Hi
What about the £'s bit raised by Arachne.
Also, while I appreciate it is difficult at the beginning.
There is little to promote.
This does surprise as many members ask for such a facility.
Not only here, but other forums too.
Yet little input. Go figure.

This facility needs a locale.

I'm pretty sure that postage for hardware anywhere in the world to Oz is not going to be covered by $10, or even £10.

Re: CD Freaks Vbay - Auction your stuff FREE!

I've requested multi currency support by the author of the software, but I don't think it will be fixed soon

You can also convert your currency to dollars and/or state in the description that you are using a different currency?

And I shall be happy to promote it more once more currencies are added (thanks for trying and requesting more currencies ) - as I've tried to promote it up til now only to find the people I've spoken to can't use it (UK users)

Re: CD Freaks Vbay - Auction your stuff FREE!

When I posted my auction last night, I included two paragraphs of text, including a link to my heatware and an email address for any questions. Immediately after posting, all of the text was showing. Today, only the first line shows up. What happened? Is there a way to edit and re-enter the lost text?

Good. I'll keep an eye on this. Maybe I'll put up my BENQ's if you have success.

How do you see who won your auction?

I was curious about that point myself. I bid $42 for your Plextor a couple of days ago, and someone (or two someones) came in during the last few hours and outbid me.

I think the software they are using needs a LOT of work before it's ready for prime time. And I feel fully qualified to offer that opinion after spending 30 years in software development......

I thought it would send me a pm or something to me saying who won the auction or something of that nature. I clicked everything in Vbay and can't tell who won...

I did.. I was waiting for you to ask me about shipping and the PayPal info since I could not figure out how to pay. I guess there are some things in the auction software that need to be ironed out.

Re: CD Freaks Vbay - Auction your stuff FREE!

Switched to a different script now, apologies to the two persons with ongoing bids, but there was not much activity. Multi currency is now supported: http://club.cdfreaks.com/vbfclassifieds.php

Feedback much appreciated!

OK, time for devil's advocate mode:

Is there a reason to use vbay rather than just posting on eBay and letting CDFreaks members know about it? I suppose this is about avoiding eBay's and PayPal's fees and just dealing directly with each other, but it all seems a little anemic somehow. Unless someone posts explictly in a thread and let's us know about an item, I doubt I'll visit it on a regular basis.
