Checked their site this a.m., listed the 50 pack +Rs on sale for 16.99, went in and only found 3 boxes on a high shelf, price check reveals $16.99!

Sorry, filedog, but a 50 pack for $16.99 is not a hot deal. 50 for $12.99 qualifies as a warm deal, so $16.99 is not even warm.

Considering the regular price is $31.99 if I'm not mistaken, $16.99 is a substantial savings. I think we've gotten a bit spoiled here.

$16.99 is actually the regular price. $31.99 is the inflated price. A true sale would be either $14.99 or $12.99. If you need media now, then go ahead and buy them, but for the rest of us, we'll wait for a better deal, which will come in the next 2-4 weeks.

When a particular media goes on sale all the time like clockwork, you don't really need to waste your time with anything less than the lowest price possible. There's nothing spoiled about it, it's just cold logic. That's why those of us who know how to shop were never impressed with online prices for Taiyo Yuiden, because when it was readily available under brand names, we could get it so much cheaper.

Ruthless consumerism is the name of the game these days. Squeeze them for every penny.

Last time they were $12.99 at OfficeMax - I bought like six 50 cakes of them - still happily burning them - and they are all MIT CMC's from 2005 - life doesn't get much better-eh??

(Now I'm waiting for the 16x -R MCC 03RG20's to go on sale for the same $12.99)

If he lives in your neighborhood. Add $10 to the shipping for each way. $17 for 50 discs is not hot. If you really need media immediately, just get one spindle and wait for the real sale

The best deal I've ever seen for Verbatim media when OM had the 100 pack spindles for 25$ and when combined with OM's 10$ Off 25$ , it became 100 discs for 15$

I had one 100 spindle from California (MIT MCC004 by Prodisc) and one 100 spindle from Tennesse (MIT MCC 03RG20 CMC PAP6) both for 15$ each
