They seem to be pushing the Pine CD-R's above. They're $14.99 after rebate. Free shipping though!

They have a better deal going on now.. 100 spindle of Phillips 80 min 40x. $39. Instant $20 rebate, two mail in rebates for 14 and 5. (20+15+4=39) Only cost is postage stamps. Out the door they're $19.

Maybe CMCs don't work for you FlyingDutchman, but they work great for a lot of other people. I've had real good success with them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them, and that's a good deal.

cheap good disks

compusa has tdk's for 19.95/50 spindle. bestbuy has imation's for 12.99/50 spindle. the imation has a rebate of $10 avail. i didn't look at the tdk's closely but i'm going back and getting 50 just to try. never bought any before. the i's are listed at cdmediaworld as taiyo yuden and tdk make their own. t y's are supposed to be among the best. imation-40x, tdk=48 (at least i think they were, i just noted the price and a 4x speed, the ole eyes aren't what they used to be). but i did make a mental note to return an get those tdk's. prob pick up a 100. and i'm heading back to best buy for 2 or 3 more of the imations. i might bunker up and do nothing but burn for a while. i only have 8GBs fo mp3's archived and need get em into a form that is easier to use (have old stuff and i'm too cheap to get a new player for the lr). i want the tdk's to see if they're what everbody says. ie very gooduns. t ys are also. i've used them for a couple of years with good results on my old yamaha. course i don't need the speed for it. and my liteon is in the shop...don't ask i'll come clean. it started with a bad firmware burn. knocked the yammy off windows too. got that back with another firmware burn...but the liteon had gone south...we couldn't raise the dead...this time any way! we'll still try

almost forgot, cmc's are not a well rated manufacturer of disks. they've got to be better than the spinx's i got once bout a year ago. everyone i know and some i don't , got the purtiest coasters you ever did see...if anybody out there has a flat spot that they think they might someday want to set a frosty glass on i have what you need!!! i will expect postage, i'm not going to put another penny in these things!!!

neversaydie just doesn't fit here, oh well have to go for now, have fun

CMC's seem to have a love them or hate them folowing. I love them.

Even my 3 year old 4x cd-r's are still going strong.
All of the data is fine. Not 1 error.

My 12x Memorex (really made by CMC Magnetics) are wonderful. the only 650mb discs that could overburn to about 662mb.

Not a coaster in a spindle of 100.
