I swear I've seen this Q asked a million times. If you can't make up your mind, d/l both and tried it yourself. I love freeware.

I like DVD Decrypter btw, just because.

to answer your question , is there an equivalant.........technically no , here is why:

EAC makes an exact bit for bit copy of a CD.......this is impossible with DVD because the DVD-R's cannot be written with CSS information (DVD encryption), that is why we need to rip the discs, thereby removing the encryption and then burn them.......so you aren't getting a bit for bit copy of the disc.

EAC only copies the audio data.....when you use EAC to rip a protected CD you do not rip the copy protection as well.......

There is no need for an equivalent of EAC for DVDs. EAC's goal is to detect errors on audio CDs, because they miss the error correction codes found on data CD ROM.
DVD-Video are data DVD-ROMs, so they have the proper error correction built-in.

If you get an unnoticed error on a DVD, instead of searching for an equivalent of EAC, backup at once all your vital data before the whole OS crashes on you !
I once got some errors in DVD rips, it was because of my RAM that was corrupted. The only other effect was to sometimes crash the computer after one hour of playing Unreal Tournament.
