I know nothing

I've got the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in a Windows Media File, but it's 5 hours long. I'm a complete beginner in this and want to know what software would be best for splitting it up and burning over five CD's. I've only every recorded audio CD's made up of individual tracks before, and never split the audio up and edited it.

Any suggestions or tips?

First you need to convert the WMA into a WAV files.

Second you need to open up and edit the wav, I like www.cooledit.com

Unless you find a WMA editor, you need to do it in WAV format. Open the WAV file and spilt it up.

The easy way is to burn the WMA onto a CD and use for PC only.

Adobe took over Cooledit; their Adobe Audition has exactly the same interface and functions as Cooledit Pro.
