What OS are you running? What sound card do you have? Is it onboard? Do you have onboard sound and a sound card installed at the same time? If so, try disabling your onboard version in your motherboard settings. If you want help, you need to at least tell us what you have. Have you checked for conflicts? Have you uninstalled the drivers completely, like removing inf files and registry entries, and then reinstalled? Do you have the latest drivers? If not, try them. If in Windows, run directX test program and see what it says.
