Software for Scanning MP3's?

Does anyone know of software that scans an mp3 for skips or dropouts?

I recently started moving songs from my CDs to my iPod using EAC, but I have mp3s on my hard-drive pre-EAC, that I would like to check.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

Re: Software for Scanning MP3's?

I used to use an application called MP3Shield to scan mp3 files while downloading.

It can also be used to scan existing archives for defective and corrupted mp3 files. However, I would always preview the files before following any recommendations to delete.

Try MP3Utility

http://www.geocities.com/mp3utility/

It will give you a fair idea but probably not to level you might be seeking.
