Setting up EAC encoding is frustrating

Hey guys.

I'm trying to setting up Exact Audio Copy with the Lame 3.96 encoder. I would like to use 320kbps at VBR, but there is only an option for 320kbps (normal, I guess) and 192 kbps VBR. I tried researching this command line thing, but that got me even more confused . Can someone help me out regarding how to set this thing up?

Re: Setting up EAC encoding is frustrating

Thanks. The ones I got when I searched google weren't nearly as good as those were. Ah well.

One last question:
Regarding the tagging, Winamp displays the stuff fine, but when I switch to iTunes, the song title category lists both the artist name and song title. Is this an issue with the tagging or is it the retrieval info from the freedb?

Re: Setting up EAC encoding is frustrating

It depends how you have your software player set up. I mostly use XMMS in Linux, and I turn on certain switches so that it displays artist, title, and album. Winamp lets you select which parts of the metadata to display. I'm not so sure about iTunes.

In Winamp check Options>Preferences>General Preferences>Titles. Click help on Advanced Title Formatting.
