Are there any portable MP3 players that support replay gain? I have just purchased a Sansa e 260 player & don't see anything in the documentation about replay gain support.
I'm new at the MP3 issue and I think I should have researched this before purchasing a player

You could run your MP3s through MP3Gain and normalize them before transferring them. That's what I do.

It looks like that might be the only option at this time. I was hoping to not alter the files but oh well........

I don't alter the files, I make a copy first then apply MP3Gain.

That sound like a better way to do it, I'll give that a try.

You could even run MP3Gain on the files in your player, if it mounts as a read/write drive.

Even better yet. That would save me the copy process.
