AC3 and MP3 are not the same thing at all.

Anyway, Foobar2000 supports DTS. You may have to get the "special" package.

READ the FAQs before posting!!
And don't mix up the formats. Read some basics.

Foobar2000 with DTS plugin plays DTS/DTSWAV perfectly!
(if it's DTSWAV rename to .dts and it will play!)

VLC plays DTS/DTSWAV as well.

or use directshow filters
ffdshow
AC3 Filter (alpha if you get your hands on)

Re: playing Besweet converted DTS tracks

why accusing me of lying ??

i'm new in the 5.1/DTS/AC3 world. i looked for tutorials on Doom9 but none is useful for me..

the ripped DTS file works only with WinDVD and VideoLan, Foobar special edition isn't playing it (and yes, i installed all components).

AC3 filter doesn't work (ac3filter.sf.net), neither the winampAC3.sf.net.

i opened a new thread, if someone can help, they're welcome...
