Pauses on disk after burned

I use CDMASTER to convert my MP3 to WAV so I can play them on my car stereo (it isn't a MP3 player) I did a few that worked fine but now, when I burn a CD that is near the 80 min mark on the CD/R disc I get pauses while the songs are playing. like an album would skip or be stuck for a second. there is no noise then the song continues.

I have WINXP Home. and a Lite CD/R on HP system.

anyone know who I can fix this problem. or do I need to find another CD converter program

Re: Pauses on disk after burned

I don't know CDMASTER but does it let you set the gap between the audio tracks? If yes, set them to zero. If this does not work, try burrrn, burnatonce or Feurio (all free) for burning the CDs.

P.S.: You did burn in disc-at-once mode (and not track-at-once), didn't you?

EDIT: Maybe I've gotten you wrong - are you complaining about gaps between the tracks or during the tracks? If the latter is the case, forget what I wrote above. It could either be a bad burn (try high quality CD-R media like e.g. Verbatim Data Life Plus) or that your car player has problems reading discs >74 minutes. I'm pretty sure it's a bad burn though. Try scanning the disc with kprobe and see if there is a large number of C2 errors on it. If this is the case, use better CD media. In addition, it is usually better to burn CDs not with the highest speed. If you used 52x or 48x try it e.g with 32x or 20x instead and see if this solves your problem.

Feurio seems to have the best results from users on this forum, I prefer CD Artitech for Redbook compliant discs.

All I can say is that generally car CD decks are cheaply made and have a lot of trouble with CD-R's.

At the author for CDMaster32; I can tell you that I haven't heard of any problems like you describe.

Are you following along using our free AudioCD tutorial:
http://www.zittware.com/Products/CDM...2/mp3tocd.html
?

If so; please contact me at no_spam@zittware.com and I'll do my best to help.

CDMaster32 does provide "gapless AudioCD burn" like other software... you simply need to set the pregap to zero in the Advanced Properties button on the WAV to CDR screen.
