None of my media players will work now!

I'm posting this here because I have no idea where to look for help with this problem.

I powered down my computer over the weekend and when I powered back up I got some kind of message about a registry error, the computer automatically performed a chkdsk and finally reverted back to what looks like an early restore point. All of my programs were still there but none of the media players like winamp, mediaplayer, or itunes will open. I get an error messsage
that itunes etc. encountered a problem and needs to close ...

I've uninstalled and reinstalled all programs no no avail.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot this problem?

Re: None of my media players will work now!

Try undoing the restore. Then use CCleaner from filehippo.com and see what that does for you!
