No sound comes of the AUDIO CDs I burnt .....

My Nero works perfectly!!!!! The only problem now is WHY THESE NEW AUDIOCDs THAT I JUST MADE WONT PLAY IN MY NEW SYSTEM-the one next to my PC?????? (they sound great in any other CD player in the house)
I rang to the company who sold me this HI FI CD Player and all they could say is that it plays with most formats and obviously the format of
this CDs are wrong format , so this brings me a problem.
Anybody knows how to solve it? What is that of CD Formats? I am burning quite happilly for a number of years and this is the first time I ever heard of it.
My sincere appreciation for any help you could give me.
Regards to all

"they sound great in any other CD player in the house", then obviously it is a problem with your new system.

Re: No sound comes of the AUDIO CDs I burnt .....

I purchased a set of (silver) blanks that would burn/play perfectly on my Yamaha CD-Rom burner and all the CD players in my house/car EXCEPT one. If I would burn these blanks at no more than 4x (even though the drive and blanks were spec'd at MUCH greater), they would ALSO WORK on that one. I could use other brands of blanks, burn at higher speeds, that have NO trouble playing in ANY of the units. I have since tried using these blanks in a different burner, and I AM able to burn at higher speeds and have them work on ALL of my players ... go figure.

Re: No sound comes of the AUDIO CDs I burnt .....

Thanks Black Diamond and jerohmacc for taking the time to respond.
My case is a bit like yours jerohmacc. Just wont play in my new Hi Fi System. I have to clear out that any other CD burnt in my old PC are not problem, only the ones burnt in my new PC with Nero 6.
I can' t blame the stereo system as the company makes very clear if it plays most CDs is OK.
Looks like I have to get a new CD player unless somebody knows of a magic trick.
My best regards to both, Diana

Only other thing I can suggest is use good quality media, I use only Mitsubishi/Verbatim, and burn as slow as your burner will go.
I burn all audio at 1x in my old TEAC SCSI burner.
The same speed that audio cds are played back.

Re: No sound comes of the AUDIO CDs I burnt .....

I did exactly that Black Diamond. I tried in Verbatim, TDK, Kodak, etc and at lowest speed-thinking that could be the reason- and nothing!!!, whatever I burnt in my new PC ( with Windows XP) with Nero6 won' t play in this TEAC DC-D985 Hi Fi that I have for about a year-but any Audio CD I burnt in my old PC (with Windows2000) with old Nero will play.
Sounds almost spooky, isn' t it!
Anyhow, many thanks for trying.
Best regards, Diana
