hi

ok guys i am so tired of searching the NET for the best quality way to convert audio cds to dvd to benift from the big space.

i am audiophile and i care about sound quality soo much.

audio cd is WAV and to make the DVD-R playable in the home HU i have to make it as PCM files.

so how to convert to PCM ! and what simple rate ! and what is the best quality program can do that !!

after i convert the files to pcm what shell i do ? just make Video_TS file and drop the pcm files inside it and burn ?

any comment will be apprciated.

WAV files are just PCM files with different header information, so no actual converting is required, however the DVD format only allows for sample rates between 48KHz and 96KHz, which means you will have to upsample to either of these rates.
This is easy to do using SSRC http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=SSRC, it is a command line program but you can also use the BeSweet GUI to make things easier. http://besweet.notrace.dk/ Note though that reampling to a higher rate will not result in higher quality, as the source was only 44.1KHz to start of with.
So now you have a DVD compliant WAV (PCM) file, which can be burnt to DVD-Audio using any of the Authoring programs around.

i can't use dvd audio man !

i need normal dvd-r with only audio inside it my player doesn't support dvd-audio.

so can u tell me what is the exactly i should make to make it work.

i have DVD player in my car and without screen and it doesn't support dvd audio only normal dvd video.

can u tell me what is the extension of PCM files ? is it .WAV ? or .PCM ?

why i should use DVDaudio program and i don't have dvdaudio feature in my player.

more help please.

Use Audio DVD creator. It will create a DVD-VIDEO with audiotracks you choose.
Other ways to create is use NERO or any other burning program and make a slideshow. you should be able to choose one audio track for each slide (picture file). You will need some gif or JPG pictures though (for the slides). Other software bundles like Roxio or Ulead also have this option to make Audio DVD (not DVD-Audio) also known as "Fake Audio DVD".
