According to this site Hitzone 19 is protected by CDS. Probably CDS200. So I reckon that Hitzone 21 is also CDS200. Is there an extra session on the cd with the songs and a sort of mp3player? If not, it might be CDS100, which last versions seems to target Plextor...

Read the thread mentioned in the last option of my signature.

It seems there is no extra session on this cd. I think it's a new copy protection. Can't find out wich one it is at the moment. I go look for more info about CDS100 but don't think this is the used protection. If i find new information i will post it here.
If someone has an idee please let me know.

thanx

First we need to which protection is used. Scanners like CloneyXXl don't work good with respect to protected audio cds. Try to identify the protection yourself by reading the suggestions mentioned in the thread in the last option of my signature.

Whenever we've identified the protection we might be able to help your further.

Hi I just finished my copy of Hitzone21, I used a home cd-player
trough line in from my soundcard. So now I have an analog copy of the cd. I'ts not the way I wanted it but I can use it in my car now.

Some information about the original cd :

On the back cover there are 2 signs one say's (will not play on pc OR mac ) The other sign say it will play on home audio players.

On the silverside of the cd is printed :

: DOCdata <-- compagny who pressed these cd
: BMG 74321966172 <-- believe cd registration numberdata
: IFPI 3611

I can't read the original cd on anyway with any program.
I still believe it's a brand new copy protection.

greets

Ah... the protection is probably Doc.loc which is new in the Netherlands. Our neighbours from Germany have a lot more experience with this protection. If you can read German you could try this site.

You could also try to ask XORFF, he has experience with this protection.

please follow the link

Hi,

a few weeks ago I copied some of my postings to the cdreaks "German General Chat" forum. I'm afraid, brennmeister.com appears to be down at the moment.

DOC.loc (by DOC.data) --> http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?threadid=54784

Doc.loc is crap. Of my drives, only the DVD burner could read it. Plextor 40x should also work, with "single session" option enabled.

I just bought this album and I can confirm it has Doc.loc as protection (Doc.data is printed on the inner ring of the disc). Any method on determining the version that was used? I need to know because I'm going to use the disc for my reviews. German is not my best language so in English please

Ps. ripped it with my Plextor without any problems. Doesn't seem like a very difficult protection

CDS 100

Hey yo all,

I bought this cd for fun, and all of my drives fail to mount the disc, except my toshiba SD-2102. List of other drives: Plextor40TSI (fw 1.13) Plexwriter 16/10/40, Pioneer DVDrom 116, Sanyo CDRW-2, Aopen 52X, Philips CDRW 800 & LG 52X cdrom. But i also went to my uncle's house. He has a pc with a Toshiba 16X dvdrom in it. If i remember right is was the 1612model. This drive sees the cd just lake an audio cd. It did only take 10secs to mount the drive. It can be ripped just with nero.

My findings in my toshiba laptop dvd/cdrw combo. The CD track 1 starts @ 00:12.00, according Nero.

Clone CD says (watch the pre-gap before start time of track 1!):

Doc.data has nothing to do with Midbar Tech and CDS, so I don't think it is CDS100 v3...

I also have some original Sony and Universal cd's manufactured by DOCDATA

Why i DON'T think that it has DOC.LOC, because i have an ultra plex 40tsi cdrom and it will nog regocnze the disc in any way, even with single session only in Plextools.

Apparently Doc.data doesn't do protections only... they do more things besides protections.

Sorry, you are right, i was wrong

Uhm i used the site CD.logo.nl and looked in the database and there it says that it has DOC.LOC

Sorry for this stupid action

But anyway, isn't DOC.LOC he strongest protection that is possible...?

I don't know how to determine the version of the used Doc.loc protection, besides determining the protection based on the release date of the cd. As this cd has been released in the last couple of months I would say it has Doc.loc V3... Maybe XORFF can shed some light on this issue?

I'd prefer if it is indeed V3 (because I already have a V1/2 disc )

I guess it's V3

It appears to me that it's DOC.loc V3, too. The protection has also been found on DE/VISION Remixes in Germany.
It's the first DOC.loc version which is readable in current Plextors. V1 and V2 discs can't be recognized by those drives. First session only does not help in that case because Plextor's recognizing problem is assumed to be in the PreGap and not in the 2nd dummy session.

Well? how about it? does anyone have a solution already? (besides making a copy via my stereoset)

I've got the following drives:
Creative DVD 12x40x (DVD Drive)
LiteOn 32125W (CDRW)
AOpen 52x (CD Drive)

the first two just say there isnt a cd in there and quit spinning/trying to.
the 3rd keeps trying to read it, but wont work either

so, any work arounds?

The protection is hardware depandent. If you have the wrong hardware, you are out of luck. No work-arounds for this protection. Try to rip the cd with somebody else his reader?

ok, guess ill be downloading it then :P
you see, its not my fault, they just give me the need to download it, i was going to backup my own cd, but NO that would be wrong.
so instead i will download it from other rippers, because that is the right thing to do (according to music producers and stuff, otherwise they should just allow people to play audio cd in there pc)

these kind of protections shouldnt be allowed, not because its hard to copy it, but because i think it should at least be able to be played in a pc.

just my 3 cents :P

(no flamebait or troll, just my opinion because i wasnt able to read it in my pc, plz dont respond to it)
