Can your player read CD-Text? What are you using to play the disc? http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?threadid=78582 http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?threadid=78803 http://www.feurio.de/English/faq/faq...e_cdtext.shtml

Windows Media Player doesn't read CD-Text. Probably, it's retrieving the titles from the online CDDB database or the "cdplayer.ini" file, which stores titles if you wrote them there or were retrieved from CDDB some time. You have a "CD-Text" button next to the drive selection in Feurio! CD-Manager that will tell you if your disc has CD-Text written. Its player also reads CD-Text. (Maybe you need to configure it to read CD-Text if your drive hasn't been tested)

Nero can write CD Text, so as was suggested your writer may not be capable of writing text. Most newer writers can read & write CD Text...but older ones can't. A lot can only read CD Text. Media Player doesn't read CD Text so it's ignored, it always retrieves like minix said from the CDDB. Not every player & software can read CD Text, ISObuster can so that's one way of testing it. If the tracks show up as audio then it didn't work...if they show up as a name (test3) it works. www.isobuster.com Of course there are other programs that read CD Text but ISObuster is one of the few I know of to test it.
