| Re: How to recognize and copy and/or rip protected audio music cd ok I was able to get songs 2-14 off the disc using my liteon 812 burner instead of the 167 using CDRwin, but song #1 still will not go, as it finds errors at points 108 - 018414 and then again later on in the song. Any way to get this last nagging song off of here? since it is a dual sided disc (one side is all music and the other is DVD stuff) is there a way to get the remaining song off of the DVD side as it says all songs are on there in 5.1 sound?

| Re: How to recognize and copy and/or rip protected audio music cd The solution for Sony BMG CDs is the following: Step 1: Boycott Sony BMG CDs Step 2: Rip with the included software Step 3: Burn with Nero or equivilant (DO NOT USE WMP OR WINDOWS) Step 4: Rip with program of choice Please pass this information along. This should not violate any copyright laws because this is only creating a legal backup of the CD and the music that you purchased. So long as you don't send this out to file sharing you should be OK. This solution is meant only to legally put your music onto your music player of choice, not to pirate music. |

| Re: How to recognize and copy/rip protected audio cds The same thing happened to me. I'm not sure which disc did it. I have a generic CD-ROM drive and an HP CD52 Writer that no longer work AT ALL. The LED lights. The drive spins. The LED goes out. There's a pause. The disc is ejected. Quote:

| Re: How to recognize and copy and/or rip protected audio music cd The Simple but costly is buy a BurnIt Cd Professional CD Burner cost £299. This machine will copy any Copy protected CD. You can then either put the copy protect back or leave it off. Another way is to purchase a M Audio Co3. Just Play a Copy procected Cd though this device and it will strip away the Protection. cost £130. |

| Re: How to recognize and copy and/or rip protected audio music cd Has anyone found anymore drives that can bypass/stop the protection? And does this drive [in fact] stop the protection? http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/yamaha.cfm |

| Re: How to recognize and copy and/or rip protected audio music cd The higher a drive scores on the sheep test the better. I haven't come across many CD's that CDex or EAC wont rip. I haven't come across many CD's that CloneCD wont dupe a protection free back-up. You can search the CDF archives/forums and the Internet for methods to by-pass any protection that's possible to by-pass. When I can't I make an analog back-up. What are you trying to do? |

| Re: How to recognize and copy and/or rip protected audio music cd Why you guys do this in such a troublesome way? Try noteburner! I came across with it on net a month ago. It can convert any protected AUDIO FILES to plain files which can be played anywhere. I can enjoy my music in iTunes with it since I GOT the awesome product!! It's soooooooooooooo good!! |

| Re: How to recognize and copy and/or rip protected audio music cd @hellomusic: Of course you'd recommend [name of spammy program] since you work for the company that makes/sells this software. Spamming is not allowed here. You spam, I ban. ![]()
