Re: How to burn or crack protected WMA files?

Has anyone had any problems with burning the MP3's encoded by Virtuosa to audio? I've tried dropping to 8x using the burner that came with my Gateway 500s (I realize this may be the problem...it's a Hitachi drive and probably not the greatest) and TDK blanks. For some reason my software won't let me drop below 8x speed in burning (only choices in dropdown menu are 32x, 16x and 8x). I've tried Nero 6 and Roxio 7. Should I install one of the newer drives like the new Liteon 52x or the Plextor Premium? TIA...

Inresponse to:
"deadskullz: From what I've been able to determine, it does not "ignore" the DRM, it just sort of violates the trust. It goes out and gets a valid license for the song."

It might do what your saying but it doesn't apply the valid license because all most all the *.mp3's come out with no protection and no license i've opened each file up in notepad i see no public keys or KID's.

You got to admit the DRM technology is great how it works but is a bit buggy to say the least. I guess you can't expect nothing more from MS than buggy software I.E. Windows lol but no software is 100% so i guess it just slows the process to the mass's.

Crashing is not related to disc space for me, at least.

Yes most of the files store a valid license on your machine in a hidden folder under -> C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM

Re: How to burn or crack protected WMA files?

How do I uninstall Napster completely from my system. I have the old installation file, before the upgrade and when I try to install or uninstall napster I receive a pop up saying ' you are trying to install an old version of napster...you need to uninstall napster first'. Please help.

Napster won't un-install via Control Panel. You have to use the setup program and select the "remove" option.

Re: How to burn or crack protected WMA files?

Has anyone heard or used the Japanese wmp10 DRM crack? It's composed of two files: drmdbg.exe & Drm2Wmv.exe. I've tried to use them, but it is unable to find a KID for the file I am attempting to convert. God D**** it, I hate Microsoft.

Re: How to burn or crack protected WMA files?

So overall there is no why to crack the protected drm files as of right now?!? it was working great week ago, but as people said think both napster and virtuosa find out and did updates to their programs.

Any new ideas?!?

Re: How to burn or crack protected WMA files?

Does anyone need the files? I can't figure out how to use them. I have a private serv that I can host them on if anyone is interested. You can also get them on eMule serv Razorback2 pretty quickly too.

Re: How to burn or crack protected WMA files?

From what i've read and tried myself (I have those two files also), that they aren't really a crack for wmp10 but were for 7/8 and 9 i think. Apparently someone started rummors that they worked for 10.

I've tried them every which was possible and had no luck so I'm inlclined to believe they aren't for 10. YMMV..

Naa, it's not ruined, it just sucks. I'm using tunbite and mp3gain at the moment. Quality isn't where it should be though..

Re: How to burn or crack protected WMA files?

Why so complicated?!! There is at http://www.tunebite.com a legal and automatical working tool for a few bucks available. I have tested this PC software. It is easy to use without any technical freaky knowledge. The principle of http://www.tunebite.com is to listen while protected songs will be played on PC and recording at the same time. So I have played all my protected music over night and at next day I got my music for my mp3-player without that drm-shit.
