External sound card for laptop?????

I have a Laptop running windows XP, which I run PCDJ Red and Traktor as mp3 mixing software. I have an internal soundcard which works fine, but i obviously need another soundcard to cue tracks (in headphones). Can anyone advise me as to minimum requirements for an external soundcard, and hopefully recommend some possibilities. I quite like the look of Creatives Sound Blaster mp3+, but unsure if this will work? Thanks in anticipation.

Surf to the website of Creative (www.soundblaster.com) and check for the minimum system requirements of the Soundblaster Extigy.

forget the extigy, its too bulky, has a low signal output, and requires a separate power supply. Go for a maya usb soundcard from audiotrak. Different places have different prices, and it depends on which country ur in. I'm in the uk and have a lot of choice. I'm using the audiotrak 5.1 usb and its a gem. I also have two channels to record with. the 5.1 has been superceded by the 7.1 that has no recording options, but u should still be able to find some 5.1 if u need it.
just run a search for maya usb which is from audiotrak.
did I also mention it fits seamlessly into pcdj?

Here you can find also firewire solutions (mostly for professional use).
