Exact audio copy errors

Hola. I've been getting some errors when reading a non-protected music CD (AFAIK) with Exact Audio copy.

2 questions.
What does EAC's 'Glitch Removal' do?
What can I do to prevent these errors? Or do they just happen and EAC fixes them?

The logfile is below. The CD-ROM is clean and scratch free, btw.

Removes all kinds of pops and clicks that are available almost on every track of every disc.

You cannot prevent those from happening,
'coz they would occur when recording the material, pressing the discs etc. and are hardly hearable.
This EAC's 'Glitch Removal' feature simply takes care of those ( if needed )
in order your music files to sound more "neat".
You can simply ignore using this feature if you like - then the ripped tracks will sound closer to the original stuff.
And it's really hard to tell the difference in sound between the cleaned/not cleaned tracks, you know.

There is only one suspicious position per track, I guess that they are all located exactly at the end of each track. Check the track lenghts and compare them with the suspicious positions.

In this case, if you enabled offset correction, disable it and see if it solves the problem. If not, would't you have a Samsung drive ? And wouldn't the very end of each track have a short gap inside the audio ? This is a Samsung bug, you must use another drive.

Track errors as reported by EAC:
Track 1: 2.26
Track 2: 4.09
Track 3: 4.00
Track 4: 4.04
Track 5: 4.21
Track 6: 1.58-1.59
Track 7: 4.25-4.26
Track 8: 3.48-3.49
Track 9: 3.11
Track 10: 3.38-3.39
Track 11: 3.56

Track lengths:
Track 1: 2:26.30
Track 2: 4:09.22
Track 3: 4:00.13
Track 4: 4:04.57
Track 5: 4:21.63

The track errors are near the ends of the tracks. I still get errors with "Fill up missing offset samples with silence" unchecked and "Error Recovery Quality" to high. (See below)

Re: Exact audio copy errors

Hi Everyone,

I'm a 'Newbie' on 'CDFreaks' so be patient with me PLEASE!!!! I am new also to downloading bootlegs also but enjoying at last some good concerts.

One thing that does bother me is 'pops' during play back. Can I get rid of these without TOO much difficulty? I've heard of EAC, will that do it for me?

I really could do with some good advice at this time.

Best Wishes,
derrydale
