EAC doesn't recognize my drive.

Installed a new Liteon 8x DVD writer with the latest firmware, but EAC doesn't recognize the drive. The drive is recognized in Windows and with Nero. Any help.

Also check which SCSI interface you're using :

It works with the native Windows32 drivers.

Re: EAC doesn't recognize my drive.

Hi Nicowico, is your DVD-recorder an internal or an external model?

However, I have two tips for you:

1) try to download from

http://www.exactaudiocopy.de

the latest prebeta 4 version (0.95pb4), released a few days ago.
It has new native SCSI interface which
improves detection of new recorders (in this case, you can try to continue with the
'native SCSI interface option' in EAC).

If 1) does not work, then try

2) copy the NERO wnaspi32.dll (typically located in C:\Program files\Ahead\Nero) in your EAC folder, and choose option 'installed external SCSI interface' in EAC.

In both cases, you have to restart EAC to see the effect!

Hope this helps!
Good luck,

ET

LOL, it's right before your very eyes :

@eltranquil,

Are you OK ?
Have you read the previous posts carefully or are you just trying interpreting them your own way ?

EAC recognizes my drive and disc now, but when I try to detect the read sample offset EAC keeps "detecting" and whem I remove the disc after a few minutes the screen says: "only leadin" than the name of the disc and "passage not found"
This happens in EAC prebeta 95 3 and 4.
Windows XP, ASPI 4.71 and Liteon LDW-811S DVD writer.
