Eac Exact Audio Copy I am using lame 3.91 encoder, and I have the file name save into the directory of the CD title. Do anyone know how to set the encoder to encode the files in the directory? my current naming scheme is: (%C) %T - %A %N i want to make it %C / %T - %A %N my additional command line options (for the encoder) is: %l--alt-preset 128 %l%h--alt-preset standard %h %s %d P.S. It takes me 10-15 min to encode a single 40-50 mb wave file. Is this normal? I have a 200 mhz Pentium I w/ 64mb or RAM. My play/CPU peaks at 0.3500x. (Don't worry, i getting a new computer soon.) ![]()

With AMD Athlon 700 MHz it tool me couple of minutes to rip a track from CD to MP3, but with my new AMD XP1900+ it only takes about half a minute. SO you can imagine things taking 10-15 minutes on a 200 MHz cpu....

Re: EAC I don't know if I understand your question...are you saying that you have a diffrent folder & directory for each CD you rip ? if so can't you go to EAC tools & hit process wave and go to where its saved ?...i have simple mind & one folder so maybe I don't understand what you want...please forgive. This part I do understand...Encoding is CPU intense , I know it's going to take alot longer on your 200 mhz than a 1.4 t bird...dam 10-15 min sounds like a long time so go get that new computer. [edit] sorry Da_ Taxman types faster than Me !

my main problem is that i want to just click the big MP3 button, and let the program rip and encode while I am watching TV. I want to rip all the songs on a CD into a folder with the name of the CD. THEN, i want Lame to automatically encode the files in that folder. | |

As far as I know it is not possible to open a save directory with MP3 ID tag parameters. The system wasn't designed for this. In EAC Options / Directories, just leave "Ask every time (default showing last used directory)" enabled, and enter the new directory before ripping.

Re: EAC I have EAC set the way Inertia decribes , I made folder Rip Music then when I rip I use Action > Copy Selected Tracks > Comressed , then EAC rip's to wave & then encodes & tags all in one swoop so no need to go back to encode , I just go move the files to where ever I want them . If I need to edit tag I use Winamp .
