Audio Discuss, DTS on Audigy 2 ZS at International Chat: Software related forum; I recently purchased an Audigy 2 ZS and it says on the box that it decodes DTS and DTS-ES. 'Great' I thought, let me try watching a DVD with DTS. So I fire up nVidia NVDVD and I press the menu button to start the movie, and it defaults

DTS on Audigy 2 ZS

I recently purchased an Audigy 2 ZS and it says on the box that it decodes DTS and DTS-ES. 'Great' I thought, let me try watching a DVD with DTS. So I fire up nVidia NVDVD and I press the menu button to start the movie, and it defaults to Dolby. Fine I'll switch it, so I switch the stream to DTS, and bam no sound. DTS does work in WinDVD platinum, but it worked with my regular Audigy2 and I assume because it software decodes the DTS. How do I get my damned ZS to decode the dolby and DTS for me, without having to make use of software decoding? Is this possible without a digital speaker setup? (I have Klipsch Promedia 5.1s). In the audio HQ I have all the DTS decoding options checked.

Thanks,

/MLS

i looked all over, and the best i could find was that you configured the software players to send the audio through the card as an external decoder.

Hmm, I'll see what I can do with that. Thanks for looking, I couldn't find anything useful either.
