Audio Discuss, Copyin protected cd :) at International Chat: Software related forum; Hi guys... so id like to backup this protected cd.. which cant be read by pc/mac... (or whatever gay protection) i know i can record from stereo... I got the stereo hooked up with my pc.. with that i mean.. i use my stereo as sound system for pc

Copyin protected cd :)

Hi guys...

so id like to backup this protected cd.. which cant be read by pc/mac... (or whatever gay protection)

i know i can record from stereo...

I got the stereo hooked up with my pc.. with that i mean.. i use my stereo as sound system for pc 2 i just got these 2 lil cables (one with a red one white)

i hope this is the stuff needed

but how do i actually rip this stuff? With what programs etc?

plz do help me out

and yes i searched forum

If you want to rip the analoge way like you're talking about, you'll need a cable with on one side the 2 cinch connectors to put into an stereoset. That same cable needs a single connector at the other end which fits in your line-in on your soundcard. (don't know it's name right now)

You could use Totalrecorder to record through your line-in.

first try it to copy just with your cdrw or cd-rom drive......

you can try when of the cd ripper or programms like EAC or FEURIO....
They will allow you to copy digital instead of using your stereoset

and damiandimitri (nice name easy typin)... thx 2... i knew bout some writes bein able to read cds and all .. but needed to know this 2...
