CDROM read data but not Audio Files - Club CDFreaks

For some unaccountable reason both of my CD/DVD Rom readers have decided not to let me know what is on ANY Audio CD that I place into them.

Instead of a list of the contents there is only one entry shown, regardless of the amount on the CD. this one-and-only file is called Track01 and is always just 1kb long.

If I access the Audio CDs in Nero, all the contents are there but in a very light coloured form and they cannot be brought onto the Nero write platfoem.

May I ask if anyone has any idea please how to resolve this annoying problem

By the way, any pure data or movie CD plays just fine?

This must be related to a program that you would have installed recently (burning app, player, wave editor...), or a hardware (another CD ROM drive...). Is there anything new on your computer ?
